What Makes Claude Motions Different

Still in beta, Claude Motions takes assets you already have and reworks them into compact motion pieces that play back like a video clip.

  • Everything Starts From One Motion Template
Every clip is an artifact created with the Motion template, which means it sits beside your other Claude artifacts instead of inside a separate editing suite.
  • Animated by Code, Not by a Video Model
Claude Motions has no video model underneath, so expect no photoreal humans or live-action shots — it moves the text, charts, shapes and pictures you hand over.
  • Saved Straight Into Your Artifacts Tab
Whatever you create is filed in the Artifacts tab — the same spot you go back to when it is time to reopen, rework or pass the file along.

How Claude Motions Takes You From Brief to Clip

A short written brief is all you need — three quick moves later you have a shareable clip.

Claude Motions Capabilities at a Glance

Briefing shortcuts, scene-level edits and hands-on controls — here is what you get when you animate your own material.

Say Who, Where and How Long

Name the audience, the screen or room where the clip will run, and roughly how long it should last before generation begins.

Bring Your Own Decks, Data and Visuals

Add the spreadsheet, slide deck or images you want shown, so the final cut is built from your real material instead of made-up content.

Rework a Single Scene by Asking

Just say what to change — a slower second scene, or a Q3 figure corrected to 18% — and only that section gets rebuilt.

Fine-Tune by Hand in the Editor

Would rather move things yourself than explain them? Open the editor and drag elements of your Claude Motions animation into place.

Tiny Edits, Zero Collateral Damage

Because everything is code, changing one word, one number or one timing cue keeps all the remaining elements exactly as they were.

Beta Access and Admin Controls

Available in beta on Team and Enterprise plans: Team has it on by default, while Enterprise owners turn it on under Organization settings > Artifacts and can limit access by group and custom role.

Claude Motions Q&A

Claude Motions: Your Questions Answered

Straight answers on plan tiers, beta access, editing a single figure, and getting your clip out as an MP4 or a shared link.

1

Which plans can use Claude Motions?

Team and Enterprise plans have it in beta. Team workspaces are switched on from the start; on Enterprise an owner enables it first under Organization settings > Artifacts.

2

Will it generate lifelike footage or human actors?

No — no video generation model is involved. You get explainers, charts and walkthroughs assembled from your own material rather than photoreal clips or people.

3

Do I have to rebuild the whole clip to fix one number?

Not at all. The output is code, so editing one word, figure or timing cue leaves everything else untouched.

4

Where are my finished animations stored?

All of them sit in the Artifacts tab, filed alongside the other artifacts in your workspace.

5

What is the fastest way to download or share a clip?

Pick Export, then MP4, to save a copy. Fresh animations stay private by default — open one and press Share to let others in.

6

Will running Claude Motions eat into my plan allowance?

Yes. Animations count against your plan's usage allowance like any other request, and longer or more complex ones use more of it than a quick message.

Put Claude Motions to Work on Your Next Deck

Open Claude and either choose the Motion template or describe the clip you want in chat. On Enterprise, an owner first switches it on under Organization settings > Artifacts.
