Why Product and Learning Teams Rely on Claude Motion Clip
Every clip is an artifact generated from the Motion template — animation code rather than recorded footage — and it stays in the Artifacts tab for later.
- Animation Written as CodeBecause the output is code, each scene moves like a video while never rendering real people or filmed footage.
- Generated From the Motion TemplateEach piece lands in the Artifacts tab as a template artifact, so returning to it when a deck needs an update takes seconds.
- Rolling Out on Team and EnterpriseTeam workspaces arrive with the feature already on; Enterprise admins enable it from Organization settings > Artifacts before anyone can use it.
Three Ways to Produce a Claude Motion Clip
Choose the entry point that fits your workflow and walk away with an animation you can export or hand to a colleague.
Practical Strengths of the Claude Motion Clip Editor
Precise tweaks, your own source files, a downloadable MP4 and privacy you manage yourself — here is what the workflow actually gives you.
Tweak a Single Detail
Swap one word, figure or beat and every other scene holds its original timing and layout.
Drawn From Your Own Files
Upload the deck, spreadsheet or images you want shown and each scene is built from that source.
Kept in the Artifacts Tab
Finished animations stay in the Artifacts tab, so locating and reopening one later takes only a moment.
One-Click MP4 Export
Export produces an MP4 you can drop into decks, onboarding flows or all-hands presentations.
Private Until You Share
Only you can see a clip until you open it and deliberately hand it over with Share.
Admin Controls for Rollout
Admins switch Motion on under Organization settings > Artifacts; Enterprise can limit it to chosen groups through custom roles.
Claude Motion Clip: Your Questions Answered
Straight answers on how these animations are assembled, who gets access and what happens when you share one.
Can the tool produce realistic video or human footage?
No. There is no video generation model behind Motion — it animates text, charts, shapes and images as code, so the output reads as designed rather than filmed.
Which plans get access, and is it switched on automatically?
The beta spans Team and Enterprise. Team workspaces arrive with it already enabled; Enterprise owners must turn it on first.
How does an admin turn the feature on?
Open Organization settings > Artifacts and flip the toggle there; Enterprise can also restrict access to selected groups through custom roles.
Do these animations use up my plan allowance?
Yes — they share the same allowance as other Claude work, and a long or intricate animation consumes more of it than a short message.
Is it possible to correct one number or adjust pacing later?
Absolutely. Ask for the change in chat or edit it yourself; scenes you leave alone keep their original look and timing.
How do I export or hand off the finished animation?
Choose Export to save an MP4. Clips stay private until you open one and use Share to distribute it.
Ready to Build Your First Claude Motion Clip?
Choose the Motion template, describe the animation you need and export the result as MP4. Team and Enterprise admins may need to enable Motion under Organization settings > Artifacts first.
